EASY WAYS TO FEEL GOOD

• Get into the habit of believing – really believing – that today is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The present is all we have. As the saying goes ‘Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery’. What are you going to do with the gift of today?

• Flirt. This does not have to be in an overtly sexual way (though it could be!). You can flirt with men and women of any age – it means getting a buzzy feeling going, where humour is bubbling under the surface and there is a sense of fun and appreciation. You can flirt with people and you can flirt with life. You don’t have to play the fool, just find what is good about a situation, appreciate it and communicate it to others.

• Any time you make a self-deprecating remark, check yourself and counter it with a more realistic and preferably an empowering statement. Do the same when other people talk down to you (and they won’t do that if the vibes you give off are that you don’t do it to yourself).
